Morning Options: 9 AM -12 Noon
1. Art Adventures (Elementary School Age) *class available during additional weeks
For Young Artists That Wants To Do Everything. Draw, paint, sculpt, print, and much more. Each week you will have the opportunity to discover a variety of materials and solve creative challenges to make your artistic masterpieces. Different projects every session. Art Exhibition for family and friends every Friday!
2. Printmaking – Reduction Linocut (Middle School Age)
Take printmaking beyond one color. Learn about dynamic composition and linoleum printmaking techniques. Learn how to print multiple layers while developing a small body of work as you learn about production standards and a touch of color theory.
Afternoon Options: 1pm – 4pm
3. Mural Painting (Elementary School Age)
Create a collaborative large scale painting. Brainstorm, sketch ideas and share with the group. Once the final design is developed the painting will begin. Learn how to enlarge drawings, mix unique colors and use a variety of painting techniques to create the mural.
4. Portfolio Prep (High School Age)
Instructor: Amber Forgey. Are you a serious art student? Do you dream of art school and a career as an artist? No matter what your skill level is currently at, this class will help you elevate your artistic skills and help you begin to prepare a portfolio that will leave you feeling more confident as an artist. Students will practice drawing from observation and learn about fast art making tricks. Students will hear directly from an AP art teacher and 2 art school graduates about what it takes to prepare yourself and your portfolio for the most advanced art classes at the high school level.
